Cassie Petrunyak, a Putnam County native, graduated from Poca High School. She has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Paralegal Studies from Bridge Valley Community and Technical College and graduated from West Virginia State University with a Regents Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in August 2021.
Cassie has extensive experience assisting attorneys with personal injury litigation with a focus on assisting victims that were severely injured by medical malpractice. She worked on the defense side as a legal secretary with one of West Virginia’s largest corporate defense firms. In addition to her legal work with both plaintiff and defense firms—Cassie has also provided paralegal work for the State, at the West Virginia Bureau of Child Support Enforcement.

Cassie brings a wealth of energy and well-rounded experience to our firm. In her spare time she enjoys being involved in the community and helping others. She has been involved with local clothing and toy donations for the Davis Child Shelter as well as yearly participation in Logan County that benefits the Driven Knights Community Center. She was involved with West Virginia’s Helping, Inc. a non-profit that helps provide new shoes for school-aged children in need and advocates for victims of domestic violence.
